Since it's Friday, I thought I'd share a couple of other fun finds for the week. I recently discovered Google Books and had a blast reading through cookbooks, business resources and some women's magazines from the comfort of my home office. The site proved particularly helpful to me when my book club elected to read a hard-to-find book called Es Cuba. This particular book is in limited circulation in our library network and there were only two copies in stock on Amazon. Since I buy very few books these days (I am a big fan of my local library) I decided to preview the book on Google Books before deciding to buy. Google Books allows you to search the full text of some seven million books. While entire books are not always available to read, you can flip through the pages as you would in a bookstore or library. Try before you buy! If you're feeling less than productive these days like I am, take a quick tour of Merlin Mann's site 43folders. In his first podcast release in two years (clearly he was busy being productive), he describes some tactics for creating blocks of time to devote 100% of your attention to creating your best work. Merlin suggests limiting choices for busy people and introducing simple time constraints for yourself. Without blocks of time, he argues, you can never fully get into whatever it is you're doing. I like Merlin's direct approach. He motivates me to get my act together and truly helps me get stuff done. Do you have any productivity sites you visit on a regular basis? Any tech finds from the week you'd like to share?

Thanks for the link to the Facebook privacy tips. We're all getting used to, um, OVERsharing on sites like Facebook and it's important to remember who can see all of those photos and information. Yes, it's great fun, but we need to remember to protect our privacy as well.
