Easy and Addictive Spicy Rosemary Nuts for the Holidays
Last week, my co-worker Catherine shared some spicy cashews with me. During my usual mid-afternoon office snack attack, I nibbled on a couple. And a couple more. And pretty soon, the entire portion—a generous handful—had disappeared in one sitting. Oops. I immediately emailed her to thank her: “They’re so delicious, and I’m pretending they’re healthy, too! Did you make them??”

Day 19: Sweet Potato and Brie Flat Bread
This vegetarian recipe was made by Krissy Tiglias, deputy editor of RealSimple.com. Krissy oversees all of the decorating, cleaning, organizing, entertaining, and holiday content on the site.
I just can’t turn down a recipe that involves pizza dough. When I was growing up, I watched as my Grandma and Mom kneaded, shaped, topped, and stuffed pizza dough. So many delicious combinations over the years from mozzarella and pepperoni to tomatoes, mushrooms, and broccoli rabe to ricotta, raspberries, and dark chocolate. Yup, you name it.
So, naturally, when it came time to pick one of the Month of Dinners to make, I couldn’t resist the Sweet Potato and Brie Flat Bread. I admit, I was skeptical about the brie and sweet potato combo (this from the girl who ate cheese and chocolate), but am happy to report that this recipe did not disappoint.
3-Ingredient Small Bite: Easy Deviled Eggs
Today’s 3-ingredient dish is an update on a classic from Rachel Rappaport, the food writer and recipe developer behind Coconut & Lime, which she started in 2004 as a way to share recipes with her friends. Her first cookbook, The Everything Healthy Slow Cooker Cookbook, came out this month.
I have a ton of recipes for fancy deviled eggs but some times you just want something quick that’s still a crowd pleaser. One day I realized that tartar sauce is a mixture of mayonnaise, spices, pickles, and onions; pretty much exactly what I would put into deviled eggs anyway. So why not use it? It works surprisingly well. For the tastiest eggs use a flavorful, high-quality prepared tartar sauce or a homemade one.
