Saucony Introduces ViziPro Apparel For Those Who Need/Want To Be Seen
Posted on Nov 4, 2009 5:14:20 PM  |  By JuleeWilson

I have recently decided that I am going to train for a marathon. Crazy, right? This is quite a feat for anyone...but having been a Division I track and field sprinter, it's particularly terrifying for me. I run fast and stop, not slow and for hours. But, I'm sticking to it and by this time next year I should be a well oiled mile-eating-machine.

With all that said, I've been even more interested in all the new advancements in athletic wear technology. Most recently, I had the opportunity to hear about and checkout a new collection of gear called Vizipro by Saucony--which is for the evening and/or early morning runner that needs to be seen by cars and other moving objects that can hinder your health or run...or simply make a striking fashion statment!

The ViZiPRO Collection includes jackets, vests, sport tops, headgear and hand gear for both men and women all made in a vibrant trademarked neon orange color that maintains an incredibly luminescent, reflective surface for heightened visibility of the wearer. The apparel products utilize a combination of lightweight, water-resistant fabrics engineered for maximum comfort and mobility. Select items from the collection also feature a road-side (right side) sleeve holster which holds an accompanying blinking LED light for enhanced visibility.

Products range from $15 for a hat to $90 for microfiber jacket.

I think these items will help me out a lot, since I'll be doing some of my runs in the evening after work. Anything can happen in a city with thousands of cabs and a few crazies running around....so Vizipro will definitely be coming in hand. Plus they are definitely more attractive then I thought. My first reaction was: "I'm going to look like a traffic/construction cone!" But once I put it on with my other running gear (grey t-shirt, black pants and blue sneakers) I didn't look so tragic.

Here are a few pics from the event...including my lovely leg with some snazzy sneaks!
