Abby Powell, who runs the shop Abby Try Again, is a self taught photographer in Portland, Oregon who has a special knack for capturing life through her lens in ways that will inspire you to look at your world differently. She just released her Spring collection of work and I found the colors so beautiful particularly because I love blue in all its many shades from the lightest pale aqua to the deepest ocean blue.

One of many things that makes Abby's work stand out for me is that she confesses to using cameras found in thrift stores throughout the years, her current one is a beat up, broken Yashica Tl Electrothis! This twentysomething proves that some of the best photos are only as good as the person holding the camera and that expensive professional cameras are not always needed to capture a special object, moment, place, feeling... evident in her photos.
