When that ho-hum fillet cries out for something special — but you’re too rushed to get creative in the kitchen — try a premade cooking sauce. Just brown the meat and simmer — upgrading your weeknight meals is as easy as opening a jar. Do you have a trusty premade sauce you use to liven up chicken, beef, or pork? Posted by: Heather Ann| November 03, 2008 at 05:57 PM Hi! We are the seller and retailer of the famous "Alavar Sauce" from zamboanga. Seeds of Change has GREAT curries and more... http://www.seedsofchange.co.uk/our_foods/category.aspx?id=cooking_sauces Combine butter and Dijon Mustard, about half & half, for Brussells Sprouts. Yum. try alavar sauce from the philippine.its a coconut milk with some spices.its good with all the seafoods McCormick's Montreal Steak Seasoning. We use it on everything. Chicken, fish, pork, even sauteed vegetables. I tried Lucini Italia's sauce with Capers.. Absolutely amazing! Its a little pricey but definitely worth it! :) Patak's Indian sauces. My favorite is the Korma sauce. Its a Curry with coconut. Great with shrimp, chicken and vegetables. Almost all of Trader Joe's sauces work for me. On a weeknight when we're running all over it actually seems faster than drive through. With a bag of salad and rice in the rice cooker I'm good to go. Parma Rosa sauce by Knorr is good everytime and is done in 5 minutes. Perfect with some grilled sausage and pasta. Suzanne Somers has some great simmer sauces. You could go to her web site or she may also sell it on the HSN. I am also an independent sales person for her products. REAL WABASI Co. on HIlton Head Island,SC makes a fabulous Wasabi Teriyaki sauce that is Organic and made of the real Wasabi! It is our family's favorite on top of fresh grilled salmon! Comes is other favors besides Teriyaki and will become a staple in your pantry! Hard to find; Call 877-492-7224 Cookwell and Company makes some excellent, easy sauces and marinades. They are based out of Austin, Texas. They make a great wet chili sauce. In fact, I think they had theirs before William Sonoma. You simply brown your meat and add the sauce. Their Gumbo is fantastic! Again, just add your choice of seafood or meat and your done. Try them at www.cookwell.net Williams Sonoma's Kung Pao Wok Sauce makes an instant and very good stir fry. I also like Tabasco 7 Chili Recipe. A jar of the chili sauce added to browned ground beef (a can of beans is optional) yields a chili as good as homemade. I really like melted butter and lemon pepper on fish and chicken. Make the mix yourself and spread it on before during and after cooking. Williams-Sonoma has a line of finishing sauces that are just great. They include picatta, marsala, bordelaise, wild mushroom and more. You just saute the chicken, pork or veal and remove from the pan. Heat the sauce in the same pan and pour over the meat. I usually serve it with angel hair pasta and a vegetable or salad. Really quick and really delicious. I love Sweet Baby Ray's Honey BBQ sauce. It's great on grilled chicken or pork chops. Also, and this may sound a bit odd, it's great on salmon. Just put boneless, skinless salmon pieces smothered with this BBQ sauce in a tin foil packet and bake it for about 30 minutes and you've got a great quick meal that's easy clean up. I've tried other BBQ sauces and this one is just the best. |
