My husband did a load of jeans and forgot to empty his pockets before he did the laundry. He had a gel pen in one of his jeans pockets. I now have ink stains all over his and my jeans. How do I get it out?

I have a stain on my new cream carpet, it's from Red Square - have tried a few things but doesn't seem to be removing - it almost looks like bright yellow highlighter. Is there anything you can sugguest that will remove it?

Kind regards,

Get ball-point ink stains out of leather or vinyl: Spray with hair spray and wipe clean.

Grass stains: Rub stain with a bar of ivory soap before laundering.

We'd just purchased two fairly expensive imported beige leather chairs when we also got a little white Bichon Freise puppy. Soon after I came home to discover the puppy had chewed up a black ball point on the seat of my husband's chair. The puppy didn't have any ink on her but the chair seat looked like combination between modern art and an ink blot test. I reasoned that ball points won't write on oily surfaces--so I grabbed the paper towels and a bottle of olive oil. Eureka! It took off every bit of the ink and then I used some saddle soap to remove any oily residue. I'm sure a mild soap would also take off the residue if you don't have saddle soap on hand.

I had a black rubber mark on my flor and tried everyhing to scrub it up and guess what got it off? A carpet cleaner professionat told me give it a spray of WD40 and sure enough it came right off. I had to use a defreaser to get the floor not to be slippery but that was OK. Afriend of mine said it also worked when her daughter superglued her fingers together. I had always used nail polish remover for that (ACETONE TYPE) but she said that the WD40 did the trick

Permanent marker on a cream colored t-shirt.

My daughter had a t-shirt signed by the Casey Donahew band and the marker they used bled through to the front of the shirt. HELP!

Deb, to get candle wax out of the quilt, you could try ironing it. Place a paper towl over the spot, and use an iron on a low setting. We had candle wax spill all over our carpet once, and this did the trick!

My daughter put big square stickers she got from the Dr's office on a fleece jacket and didn't take them off before tossing it in the hamper.

I didn't notice they were there before i put the jacket in the laundry... now there are big squares of sticker goo on her nice jacket. Any ideas?

For most tomato based stains, you can dampen the stain and set out in the sun. The stain will disappear!

I swear by Orange Miracle, a Stanley product. There are very few stains I cannot remove with it. Occasionally I need to wash an extra time or two to get the stain totally out. It removes grease, grass, chocolate, you name it. Get the liquid.

On the way home from a calligraghy class, I spilled ink leather seats in my car. My calligraphy teacher recommended buttermilk. It worked great!

when your t-shirts or any clothes are stain with grease I soak the stain for a minute with some dish-washing liquid detergent like Down, then wash your clothes as your normally do and your garment is grease free.

Fels Naptha Bar Soap. Wet the fabric, rub the soap on it , scrub it in and soak for an hour. Make sure stain is gone before you wash it. If not, repeat the rub, scrub and soak. It has never failed me on any stain.Hydrogen peroxide for blood straight from the bottle.

I had some stains that I could not get out & I tried numerous suggestions until I got desperate & tried the
citrus cleaner & degreaser made by Zep. They do not recommend it for fabric or carpeting but it did not harm the clothing I tried it on. I now use it all the time, especially for grease.

I used "Pearl Drops" toothpaste to remove balsamic vinegar from a light pink linen blouse. No fabric bleaching but the stain was removed as soon as water was applied. I have used it on many other stains since then.

My friend has a cream-coloured sofa and loveseat that had seen better days. It was dirty-looking, with big dark patches on the seats and the arms where it had seen the most wear. Her very expensive leather cleaners and conditioners did nothing for it.

I took Mr. Clean Magic Erasers to the whole thing and it turned out like new. I followed it up with a coat of her leather conditioner and it was fabulous.
