Gap Curvy flare jeans are the best! They are well-made, and the most comfortable and flattering jeans that I've been able to find in my 40's!

Curvy-fit pants from the Gap. It turns out that my hips really aren't so bad. :^)

Great accessories can make an outfit. A few fabulous bags and stand out shoes really make a statement. They can really rev up the quality of an outfit.

Go for quality - and scope out the sales!

Hush Puppies Boston. Great Style. Soft leather. I own 4 pairs and I would buy more in every color. Seem to be discontinued. Too bad

Bali Concealers Bra's w. "modesty petal" - my new found undergarment. It is new and has a built-in concealing petal design inside the cup that provides discreet modesty so you can where the knits, rayons, etc. that you love without the embarrassing "show-through" some of us feel uncomfortable with. You can find them at www.onehanesplace.com I have two of them and they are amazing and very comfortable. I highly recommend them!

Ariat boots, red.
Comfortable and with just the right amount of color for black pants and turtleneck shirts that have become my "uniform."

Levi's jeans, converse canvas all star shoes, & a hoodie.

T-shirts! I love to dress up for work, but also be comfortable. I buy nice, dressy skirts and pair them with long sleeved t's of every color, then heels and a sweater or jacket. The best are the ones with a touch of spandex. They wear better and look nicer.

I am currently pregnant with my third child, and my favorite "all shapes welcome" fashion item is the poncho. They're fun, they're fashionable, and fit in all stages of pregnancy. But, for me, they have been the most useful AFTER the baby comes, when I'm nursing. Wearing a poncho (a non-see through one) I can discretely nurse my child in public...and the baby can't yank it off like a receiving blanket. I swear by them!

i love a good cardigan. every few years i have to buy a new one because i wear the old one out! they are so great to add a pin with and dress up some jeans, or to wear very simply over a dress.

1. Boots - Cole Haan, Marc Jacobs, others...always make everything I wear special and sexy.
2. Victoria's Secret pushups (any color)
3. Chunky necklaces (easy and cheap to update)
4. Luella for Target skinny dark jeans (I love them and regret I bought only one pair)

My silver hoops, nike sneakers, NY&Co. jeans, Target t's, Hane's Men's Y-shirts (or "wifebeaters" I hate that name!), Vicky Secrets cotton undies, too many bags and shoes to name!

Shoes, vests, jackets

Jackets or blazers. They dress up jeans and sometimes are perfect thing to bring a top and a bottom together. Often a jacket or blazer is a quick fix when you have a change in plans but no time to change clothes.

It's not exactly a fashion item - more of a fashion helper: Double sided wardrobe tape. Keeps the gaps closed on my dress shirts, which keeps me looking polished and professional!

Cowboy boots. They're pointy - and so trendy and slimming. They have a low heel - and so comfy and easy to wear. And they're classic - who doesn't want to be a cowgirl from time to time. Cowboy take me away!

Ugg Sheepskin Boots! Best worn without socks. I never want to take them off.

Posted by: Christina| January 15, 2008 at 09:29 PM

Brown-leather Born riding boots- the perfect 2 inch heel, beautiful leather, and sooo comfortable!

Posted by: Erin | January 15, 2008 at 08:39 PM

Lucky Jeans - I wanted a pair for a long time and didn't think I would find a pair in my size. I did, and I love them! My legs look so long and lean. :)

Weekenders line of clothes. You can dress them up and dress them down. I wear them to work everyday and I have some that I wear for work-out, too.

1. Spanx Tight End Tights -- they hold in my "baby pooch" and make me look ten pounds lighter and eliminate panty lines. Also, they're more durable than any other hosiery I've ever worn -- this is my second fall/winter season with the same two pairs, and they still look brand new.

2. Chunky-heeled shoes and boots -- they're comfortable all day, even though I'm always running around (I'm a pediatrician, and I have a preschooler and a toddler), and they make my legs look so much better.

3. Seamless push-up bras -- enough said.

Posted by: Angela| January 12, 2008 at 10:38 PM

Yoga pants - they are great for working out or for relaxing around the house.

My pink cashmere hoodie from J Jill. I ordered it more than 4 years ago to wear on a long plane trip, and I've worn it to the opera, to theatre, to the grocery store, on long walks. It's indispensable, and this year I bought two more colors, this time from LL Bean.

2. silver hoop earrings
3.Ralph Lauren turtleneck
