Funny that I JUST READ your 1/2008 issue! And in the edictor's note, i read about the purple dyson vac. which she wishes had a retractable cord. I have that vac too and I hate the fact that you have to wind the cord because it is all crimped and tangled and I can't get it straight!! Also - the vac eats my wool braided rug. It is great on every rug in the house except that one...even great on bare floors. When I contacted Dyson to complain about it --- their solution? Don't use it on that rug. DUH!! So much for buying an expense vacuum at a local store.

This is a little embarrassing, but I have to say Macs. A few weeks ago, my husband brought a Dell laptop home from work, and it seemed so out of place that we put a towel over it.

My conair garment steamer and my Sugar White Coffee Maker (12-c.) from Eclectrics by Hamilton Beach. They keep my house running smooth and they are quality products

When we built our new home, we put in Elfa shelving in the master closet and pantry. Probably my favorite accessory in the whole house.

A product called AWESOME. It really is awesome on almost every kind of dirt, grease, and everything that would usually take alot of elbow grease to clean at all ! I've used bleach, and alot of other cleaning products that won't clean 50% as good as Awesome does, and there is very little effort to clean better than you've seen in a while. Spray it on, and watch all the gunk start coming off. Best of all, its only $1.00 for a 20oz. bottle at Dollar General. Try it and you'll be hooked !

My Original Mattress Factory King size mattress, no more expensive than ready made ones. It wasn't in stock so I ordered it on Thursday, they made it on Friday and it was delivered on Saturday. Can't ask for better than that.

Storage containers have always been a source of contention! I would get so frustrated in trying to find the right lid to the right storage container. Also, no matter how many times I matched everything up, re-organized and cleaned out the drawer, it was a mess in a few weeks. I saw the Rubbermaid Premier Food Storage containers and thought they were worth a try. It was magical! I sometimes still just open my drawer and look at how organized it is! I went out and bought another set, I was so pleased with them. I've told everyone - my daughter did the same! Their wonderful!

I have to say that my life changed about 6 months ago when I received the Shaklee Get Clean kit as a gift form my father. I absolutely LOVE the Basic H. We also use the handwash, laundry soap, dryer sheets, dishwasher soap, and the dish cleaner soap. I am so happy with all of them!!! They will last for a really long time since you only use a small amount when you use it!

I recently discovered a terrific spoon that works like a spatula, scoop, stirrer in very hot pans, skillets and dishes. It is 11" long stainless spoon with a brightly colored silicon covering at the stirring end. Everyone at my house digs through all the utensils to find the "good green spoon". Love it, brand Tovolo for seven bucks!

Method products for all household cleaning. I love their laundry soap it smells great & one small capful is all it takes for 1 load of laundry. It's even great to use on baby clothes.

The Magic Eraser works as advertised -- simply amazing. I also enjoy my iRobot Roomba and Scooba!

My Keurig Single Cup Coffee Brewer!! It is so convienient to have a fresh brewed cup of coffee for me in 30 seconds, and then a cup of tea for my husband in the next 30 seconds. It is really a big hit for parties and holidays, guests can pick whatever they want from the combo pack (includes hot chocolate, different types of coffees and different types of teas) and all they have to do is put it in the spot and press BREW! I love it and it is one of my favorite purchases EVER!!! I got it off of QVC for a really good price. The only clean up is to toss the empty cup in the trash, you don't have to rinse or anything!!

Hit post too soon. My VERY VERY VERY favorite thing in my house right now is my Dyson DC14 Animal. It sucks up the ungodly amount of pet hair I have on my floors, both carpet and tile, and the 17' telescoping wand is a dream for my stairs, couches, and even that stupid dust over the door frame.

Seventh Generation fabric softener. I love it not because it is more environmentally friendly, but because it makes my clothes smell like REAL lavender.

I love my Roomba vacuum for my tile and hardwood floors. It picks up all the grit and all of my golden retrievers dog hair. It is a major time saver for me; I just turn it on when I leave for work and when I come home my floors are clean!

I couldn't live without Dawn Power Dissolver (when my grocery store didn't have it, I went on line and bought 20 of them!), Swiffer dusters, Shout, Kitchen Aid Stand Mixer and my Cuisinart food processor. And, scoopable cat litter is a great thing!

A set of 3 flameless candles WITH TIMERS! Once set, they go on at the same time every day, stay on for 5 hours, then go off until the next day. They have a light vanilla scent. Great for homes with pets. Great as gifts for folks in assisted living places where real candles aren't allowed. Available through QVC.

My GoodCook can opener. It opens can's without leaving sharp edges--which is safer for my children and my trash-bags. Plus, it leaves the tops of the cans in a shape that can be used as a lid (not a tight fitting one...but hey, I'm not expecting miracles).

Downey Wrinkle Releaser has revolutioned my life. I can't imagine getting along without it.

Goo-gone gets anything sticky off of anything... and Mr Clean Magic Eraser...swiffer dry cloths!

Swiffer/Pledge dusters
Dyson Stowaway vacuum - gets everywhere, awesome suction, collapsible and small - great for storage, with HEPA filtering.
Magic eraser
Oxyclean powder - added to laundry whitens and removes stains, also great for individual stain removing - just wet it, sprinkle Oxyclean, leave for 5 mins and stain is gone while color stays.

A double pillow top mattress, Egyptian cotton sheets and towels, extra firm pillows! Sleeping bliss!
Nutra-Air and clorox wipes for the bathroom! A Must!
Force Flex trash bags and my recycle cart
Febreze Allergen reducer spray

Keurig B60 Single Cup Coffee brewer has been my husband and my favorite home product. You can have the perfect cup of coffee in seconds then switch to green tea, mango tea, hot cocoa simply by changing the "K-Cup" -- great product!!
