She's your best friend, except when she's driving you up the wall. You always ask her opinion -- but if you don't follow her advice, look out! She's your mother. Or she's your daughter. Share your thoughts on your relationship with your mother or daughter by posting a comment, below.
Posted by: Susan Engstrom| April 21, 2007 at 04:44 PM My two daughters are grown, married, with children, and I still shake my head in amazement. Have you ever baked something, drawn something, written something, and it came out far better than you had any right to expect? That's my two girls. I was an in-your-face, cookie-baking, PTA-going, stay-at-home mommy and all the hassle turned out to be worth it. We're not, and never have been, best friends. They have their own friends. Rather, I like to think of myself as President of their fan club. |

My daughter, Julie and I are always on the same wave length. I may call her to tell her that I bought a cute top at Target and she'll know which one it is. We often will have it happen that when I'm thinking about something I want to tell Julie, she all of a sudden calls....or vice versa. In fact, I was just reading your article, and I was thinking that I should write and tell you about her calling, when GUESS WHAT?! That's right....she just called me!!!! I think she's just great, and she thinks I'm just great!!!!
