Hidden Treasures at Doyle & Doyle
Posted on Feb 10, 2009 3:47:28 PM  |  By The Blogsmaid

As a fan of vintage and antique jewelry, I have long been a fan of Doyle & Doyle, which is this little shop here in New York co-owned by sisters Elizabeth and Irene Pamela Doyle.  Their love of old, classic, beautiful pieces led them to pursue their passion and open their shop in 2000.  Often, when I have brides who love things vintage, I'll direct them there for bands and wedding jewelry.  The prices are amazingly reasonable.  I wanted to share it with you, because I only recently realized that this little jem of a store (pun intended) offers online shopping.  But, take heed!  Because most of these are one of a kind pieces, what's here today, might be gone tomorrow!

Are any of your wearing any heirloom or vintage pieces on your wedding day?

Those sapphire earrings are to die for! My April 2008 wedding theme was solely based on my vintage-inspired sapphire engagement ring. http://realgreenweddings.blogspot.com/2008/08/dinner-party-wedding-with-diy-style.html

I got my wedding jewelry there! My husband and I got our rings there (I don't have an engement ring) and we bought a necklace for the wedding day, too. The store is AMAZING.

I wore a vintage diamond pendant and a vintage diamond and sapphire bracelet I borrowed from my mom. I also received earrings that look vintage but are a new design from Penny Preville. I like the idea of vintage jewelry so much, especially for weddings. It is a great way to create a unique look.
