Reception
Six Degrees of Wedding Guests

I'm the nosiest wedding planner. Whenever I'm organizing escort cards for clients, I sit there and wonder "I wonder how they know this person?"    If you are anything like me as a wedding guest, you've also probably played the same guessing game and poured over the program for tidbits of info on the wedding party or tried to figure out which table was school friends, which ones work, etc.  Well, you can save your nosy guests the frustration AND help get your guests mingling with these O So Cool Social Information Charts from Melangerie

Doing double duty as a seating chart, these "maps" cleverly display how the bride and groom know each of their guests, which guests are connected to each other, how long each guest has been in acquaintance with the happy couple AND even what table everyone is sitting at. A print of the graphic can be on display at cocktail hour and then put into a keepsake book like the one shown here after the wedding.  They offer a variety of styles from modern, to romantic and have templates to customize the colors and style to suit your wedding.

Wow, that's amazing! Is it complicated and/or time consuming to put together?

Hi, I am Elana, the co-founder of Mélangerie (the design firm that creates these social info-graphics).

I noticed Wedding Belle's question about how the seating charts are put together, and want to let you know that we are currently putting the finishing touches on a few other design templates for the seating chart concept which will be available in October (keep tabs on our website for new images to come).

These new designs will make the process of creating the charts even more economical! We gather the guest information from you through a formatted spreadsheet that we provide, so it is pretty straight-forward. We also offer a variety of printing options from large prints, to framed pieces, to specialty formats. Feel free to contact me directly if you have additional questions!

This a neat idea. This would definitely be a good conversation starter for all your guest who might not know each other. I must share this on my blog!!
