Obviously, we started out in a rather remedial state, since you'd think that with all that time (over six lessons) we'd have progressed to Dancing With the Stars-like moves. Not quite. So, was it worth it? Definitely—because during those 330 minutes we've had many laughs, a few sweet moments, and learned a small skill that (hopefully) we won't forget and can use at weddings for years to come. Oh, and the Brazilian dance instructor, Diego, is adorable, so that was really fun—at least for me! One of the funniest moments came in lesson #2, when Diego asked us, "So, what kind of an entrance do you want to choreograph?" Let me remind you: it has taken nearly six hours for us to master a box step. And not only are we incapable of doing any sort of fancy-pants entrance, the idea of that sort of pomp-and-circumstance and look-at-us-taking-it-sooo-seriously had me in hysterics. So to show Diego what I had in mind for the moment we step on the dance floor as a married couple, I just grabbed my fiancé's hand, put one foot in front of the other, and gave a big grin. Simple, authentic, and very much our style.—Liz Did you take dance lessons? Were they worth it?

My fiance and I are taking dance lessons. So far, all we have managed to master is the East Coast Swing. We are assured that this dance can be performed to almost any song, but I doubt it will work for "A Kiss to Build a Dream On." We have only 5 more hours of lessons to learn the Foxtrot!
But you're right, I don't think we've ever laughed at ourselves so much!
