If you're Demi Moore it might be a leeching treatment. This is just gross. She must be watching too much John Adams. Or was that blood letting? No matter, it's all gross. If you're me it might be starting a big new job while you're prepping for your nuptials (I was engaged in April, started here at Real Simple.com in October). What was I thinking?? Eh, I love it here -- it was all worth it. Here are a few crazy things we've heard about:
Ick. NearlyWed Asks: But what about you, fair bride? Done anything crazy lately? p.s. Trying on my dress for the first time tonight. Wish me luck!! br> br> --Margit Detweiler
Posted by: lucy| March 27, 2008 at 11:08 PM I think it was pretty crazy when the American embassy in Frankfurt gave my German husband-to-be a stamp in his passport allowing him to come to the U.S. and marry me within a 3 month time period or else he'd have to return to Germany and we'd need to file all over again which at that point, had taken nearly a year to get approval. So my husband sold all his belongings and relocated to America and we had 8 weeks to plan an entire wedding, start to finish and we pulled it off with a DIY style wedding that was better than if I had taken 2 years to plan it. I have no regrets and now, 7 years later and happily married, I see it as a great advantage that my planning time was limited because with all the options out there I almost feel bad for the modern bride, especially one who may suffer from 'my wedding has to be perfect syndrome', the category I would have EASILY fallen into. So that was the crazy wedding experience that I can relate. All the best to you!!! I rolled the quad (4 wheeler) on myself down a steep embankment and into three huge fallen trees. I was barely able to scramble on top of the rolling quad (I swear an angel had me since I hovered for a moment...really!) and escaped with a swollen knee and scraped up hands (not that bad though!). It was pretty darn close! |
