Fashion metamorphosing into interior design is exactly what this Brooklyn based interior design duo had in mind when they teamed up. One, a former clothing designer, the other a former display coordinator for Anthropologie's Fifth Avenue store, have put their creative genius together to create Domestic-Construction, and interior design service that specializes in creating crafty, and eclectic designs using uncommon items like fabric scraps and mini glass jars that are strategically arranged on walls to create custom art installations. The work is carefully crafted and the end result are cozy creations that command full attention in a room.
Some other high points from the team are a tea cup chandelier made from vintage mugs and cups (which they can recreate for custom orders) and a meticulously designed striped wall (show below) that from a far looks like a retro wall paper. It is was actually created using tea stained paper and thread that was cut and hand pasted to the wall. They give crafty a whole new meaning. If you're in the mood for a once of a kind design element in your space give the female duo a call.
