Looking for the perfect gift for a ceramics lover? Diana Fayt is an artist and designer from San Francisco who creates ceramics, from vessels to art pieces, and has quite a devoted following in both the U.S. and Japan. Her work is nature-inspired (lots of flowers and pretty birds) though her latest creations are a bit more focused on people and objects and are just fantastic. Here are a few shots of her latest collection along with a few snapshots of a recent studio sale she held this past weekend showing her very tidy studio. Can you find the Obama plate? To learn more about Diana and her work, you may visit her website or you may check in on her over at One Black Bird, her personal blog. To purchase Diana's work, you may visit her Etsy store which is also under the name One Black Bird. Psst: Want to see Diana's San Francisco home? Apartment Therapy featured it last year (November 2007) right here. What a creative lady! (images from diana fayt, one black bird)

I've loved Diana's work for a while...wistfully and from afar. :) Her work is on my wishlist of art I hope to own someday. Lovely, lovely stuff.
