Easily organize a group gift project

As the holidays get closer, and you start to think about gift giving, you might want to explore the website From Everyone:

081120everyone

How it works: An organizer goes online to From Everyone and selects the store and creates the group. The service then e-mails everyone in the group, collects the money, and sends the gift.

Contribution amounts are private and all the time-consuming coordination is handled for you. People in the group benefit from the convenience of the service, and the recipient benefits from the group gift! From Everyone even wraps the gift for you. The service is simple, uncluttered, and efficient.

The list of participating stores is pretty extensive and covers a wide-range of industries. You can learn about the companies supported here.

This is a great idea! Although I'd have to decide whether the convenience is worth the 10% service fee. That might also deter some of the other participants from chipping in.

@Natalie -- I'll be honest, knowing that I don't have to call people, go shopping, wrap a gift, get a card, mail the gift, and then notify everyone that the gift is on its way is DEFINITELY worth 10 percent to me.

Everyone who has ever collected money as a "room mom" or "team mom" will think the 10% is a bargain! This is news I can use (right now). Love it.

Great service for any occasion. So easy for groups AND especially for the organizer. Unique, easy and soooo easy. You don't have to prod people personally. It's all through the internet. FANTASTIC.
