Have you shopped DaWanda?
Posted on Sep 24, 2008 6:37:00 AM  |  By HollyBecker

Looking for gift ideas? Why not shop handmade this season! There are so many quality online marketplaces offering independent arts and crafts, from Trunkt to Etsy, even bloggers have shops like the lovely Indie Fixx and Poppytalk Handmade. Have you also heard of Berlin-based company DaWanda? You can shop there for gifts and handmade products from art to cell phone bags. Many of the sellers ship worldwide and since the site is available in English (in addition to German and French), it is accessible to us here in America.

Like most online shops that are quite large (DaWanda is huge in Germany, everyone knows about it), it can be hard to navigate in order to find exactly what you are looking for. That is why I thought I'd give you a mini tour of some sellers that I like that you may also be interested in checking out. Some of these sellers I actually know personally and own some of their things, which makes them even more special to me. In addition to my finds below, I pulled together a few pinboards featuring specific products that I like -- you can find them by clicking here, here, and also here. Ready for a few of my DaWanda faves?
