I'm a stationery lover and though I appreciate and use email most of the time, I'm still very keen on old- fashioned letter writing and sending cards through snail mail. When friends send e-vites and e-cards I barely read them. I know that sounds mean but I can't help it. The experience of receiving mail, the excitement of opening an invitation, the smell and feel of the paper, posting it on your corkboard... Why deny someone of that pleasure? Today on decor8, I've interviewed Tara Hogan, a graphic designer who started her own paper goods company called INK & WIT. Her things are so mouth-watering lovely and include cards, mini journals, tags, prints, calendars... I own several of her papers and find them exquisite as her specialty is letterpress and she does it so well. I also have her 2008 calendar on my wall. Tara happens to double as an artist who shows her paintings in galleries. You can see some of her paintings in her studio tour. I really think you'll love not only learning more about Tara but also you'll get to view her gorgeous home in upstate New York in her studio on decor8 so I encourage you to check it out. INK & WIT also does custom work, she designed my business cards and she designs gorgeous invitations. (images from INK & WIT)
