Ding Dong! Imagine a tricked out van pulling into your driveway with a stylish designer hopping out, fabric swatches in hand, armed and ready to redesign your home in a single day. Oh yes, it exists and this brand new business is called Designers Call. Under the lead of owner Lara Fishman (who once worked for the Kelly Wearstler Interior Design, Fishman is now the Owner and Principal Designer of Storm Interiors and launched Designers Call to provide a fresh, new approach to delivering high-end design without the high-end prices. Good design for all! Imagine needing some help organizing your home to prepare for the arrival of a new baby, or perhaps need to fix a bad design decision from paint color to a piece of furniture that just doesn't work. Furniture re-arranging, home staging, whatever your need Designers Call promises that they can deliver. The original DesignWagen (or mobile design studio shown above) is in LA, but Designers Call is set to provide its services nationally. (Here are some of their before and afters.) Packages include:
Details about the above packages can be found here. If you are interested in getting started, you can read all about the preparation process here. So what do you think? Like the idea? Dislike? What do you think of the van with a design studio inside? Is this something you'd like to see in your driveway? (images from designers call)

Hmm...I like the idea but I don't not like the big van with "Designscall.com" name of the side of it. It's like screaming to everyone in your neighborhood: You have no interior design skills and had a hire a someone....who works from a van.
