Knock Knock: Open House
Posted on Jul 4, 2008 7:02:00 AM  |  By HollyBecker

Who's there? Many of your favorite blogs may have closed down shop today, I know I did over at decor8 and haus maus... If you happen to be spending a little time online today surfing around, you may want to check out some of your favorite blogs anyway and read through their archives. I do this from time to time, just last night I took about an hour after cleaning my house and with a cup of tea in one hand and the mouse in the other, I clicked my little heart out and read all of Bloesem's Knock Knock: Open House posts. What are they? Well first, let me tell you a tiny bit about my dear friend Bloesem.

Livingroomdetails

Bloesem is a blogger, Irene Hoofs to be exact, who is a married mother of one little boy and together, they all live in an apartment in Kuala Lumpar. Born in Amsterdam, Irene has lived in a few spots around the world including Toronto and New York, and has a background in graphic design. She also loves to knit and make things that she occasionally sells in her Etsy shop. Now a full-time blogger, Irene runs Bloesem, Bloesem Kids, and on each blog she has a few regular columns, one is called Knock Knock: Open House and appears on her kids blog. It's a lovely series where she interviews a creative mother and gives readers a mini home tour to enjoy. I just love this series, it's so fun to read and she selects those with such interesting families and backgrounds from all over the world.

If you happen to be interested in looking at this lovely column, here is a link to all of them from the time she started the column until now. What a fantastic bunch of reading I just assigned to you! But you will love it, I promise...

I hope that you have a nice Friday, a beautiful weekend, and most of all -- that you do something that you absolutely love whether it's a long hot bath or a hike on your favorite trail. Life is too short to merely exist. Life is to be lived, and after reading Irene's blog I'm quite sure you will be motivated to do all sorts of fun things this weekend!

See you on Monday!
