25 Vintage Houseware Shops on Etsy
Posted on May 23, 2008 6:57:00 AM  |  By HollyBecker

Spring in New England, what's that!? This year it's been cold and rainy 90% of the time so I've had but a few days to hit a good outdoor flea market. Boo! Thankfully, there's the web to shop for vintage finds, it's what holds me over and takes the edge off while still giving me that good old 'thrill of the hunt' feeling.

I've been checking out Etsy lately for vintage goods. We all know that a majority of talented sellers hand craft items from stationery to quilts, but did you know another talented bunch awaits your visit? Oh yes, it's the group of shopowners who may not sell things created by their own hands, but they are blessed with another talent - having a good eye for finding awesome vintage stuff.

Some Etsy stores carry vintage clothing, bags, toys, and beyond but for this post I will highlight 25 sellers (in no special order) who specialize in housewares.

*I'm certain more great vintage stores exist, but these are what popped up first in my mind. If you know of more, feel free to comment with their link. You can also search for more vintage finds on Etsy right here, including fashion and books.

I'm really enjoying the Etsy links featured in this article. My girlfriend is one of those people who has a great eye for finding vintage merchandise. I've been trying to encourage her to become a Etsy member but she thought it was only for handmade product. I think this may be the boost she needed to take the next step. Until then, you may want to check out her website at www.starburstvintage.com.
