To see what's happening in the world of food, I subscribe to weekly/daily e-newsletters and RSS feeds for a few of my favorite food blogs and websites. But sometimes, admittedly, when I'm really busy, I delete the emails before even reading them and never check my google reader. This is why I love Alltop.com -- on one page, they feature the five most recent, up-to-the-minute posts from dozens of food blogs including New York Magazine's Grub Street, Chubby Hubby, Skinny Chef, our very own Simply Stated, and more. This way, you can scan the headlines to see what's new in food. It's a great way to meal plan, too -- just click on the recipe titles that interest you and make your shopping list. Here's a fun smattering of what's featured on foodie heaven Alltop right now: With Beans Comes Rice from Homesick Texan (shown above) Peanut Butter Cookies from 101 Cookbooks Bananas and Soup from Cooking with Friends Blog Summer Squash Gets Some Respect from NPR: Food Mad Mini Burgers from Average Betty Chocolate-Covered Bacon for Breakfast from Serious Eats What are your favorite food blogs?
Posted by: christin| July 24, 2008 at 03:40 PM You HAVE to take a look at Matt Armendariz's food blog, Mattbites.com. Matt is an incredible photographer and food lover. His blog includes phenomenal food pictures, great recipes, and tips for traveling on your stomach. I recently discovered his blog and when I told my wife, she said, "I told you about that site three years ago." He's also featured on TypePad's home page this week. -Jesse Luna I just checked out Mattbites.com -- it's gorgeous. thanks for the lead Jesse! Thank you for including me in this great collection of food blogs from Alltop! Guy Kawasaki is a genius for making great content so easy to find and follow. I love Alltop and Real Simple. Cheers! |

I have just gotten into food blogs recently, here are the ones I find inspiring:
Dorie Greenspan:

Orangette:
http://orangette.blogspot.com/
And not a strictly-food blog, but she features delicious products of her baking adventures amidst crafty creativity (I think she has a book coming out too):
