Blackandyellowpartywedding

I'm currently in love with the black, white, and yellow color palette.  It's so bold & elegant...I'm thinking it will definitely need to make any appearance this holiday season - New Year's Eve, perhaps? It would also work great for a chic engagement party, rehearsal dinner, cocktail party, or wedding. Here are a few ideas for bringing this palette to life in a sophisticated and oh-so-contemporary fashion!

Chandelier Dinner Invitations
I love the elegant simplicity of this modern chandelier silhouette design. Embellish it with a band of bright yellow ribbon for a bold splash of color!
($44.75 for 25; price point goes down with increased qty)

Glam it up with sparkly details...

6 ft. Yellow Crystal Garland ($18)
Yellow Crystal Ornament ($5.50)

Black Acrylic Candelabra ($55)
This elegant candelabra dons a dramatic Baroque design shaped from modern acrylic and makes for a gorgeous table centerpiece!

Damask Gift Wrap
Use black and white damask-print gift wrap to create inexpensive table runners & table toppers or to wrap up pretty party favors.

Damask Black and White Partyware
A truly modern, elegant take on the affordable paper plate!

Boutique Creme Ribbon by American Crafts™
This pretty ribbon set contains the perfect hues for dressing up napkins, invitations, party favors, and vases.

Fancy Fake Utensils ($20/service for 4)
Say farewell to those generic utensils - this fancy fake utensils from Urban Outfitters are a classy twist on partyware!

What are your favorite party color palettes right now? Is there any color scheme in particular that you'd like to see turned into an inspiration board?

Oooh. I love this! Especially the yellow for the chandeliers. I'd love to see an inspiration board featuring a rich pumpkin colour. I adore it but never know how to incorporate it into my decor without making things look Halloween themed!

I am using this same concept for an intimate wedding: 25 people, black and white damask with fuchsia and tangerine floral accents. I just love it!

What's the obsession with chandeliers lately?

I love the combination of black and yellow. It gives it that wow factor. I would love to see more on this.

I'm about halfway through doing my baby's nursery in black, yellow and white. It looks so chic. I had a really tough time finding bedding, etc., but think we've just about pulled it off. We painted the walls a bright yellow and I found an adorable huge black wall decal of a dandelion blowing in the wind. Just enough whimsy without being too baby-ish.
