Candy is often used in party favors for occasion showers, birthdays, and weddings, but here are a few creative candy themed favor ideas you might not have seen before, for a parting gift that’s extra sweet… 1. Mini Classic Gumball Machines - great for retro candy-themed parties and showers 2. Mini Cupcake Lip Gloss - cute for dessert-themed showers and girlie birthday parties 3. Cool Bean Jelly Bean Cocktail Mixers – fun for weddings, bridal showers, or girls’ night! 4. Candy “Cakes” made from Glass Top Candy Tins – perfect for bridal showers & weddings 5. Bird’s Nests – cute for bird or “nesting” themed baby and bridal showers What are your favorite ideas for incorporating candy into party favors? A good friend of mine did something really cute with candy at her wedding last year; she personalized cellophane bags with Hershey Kisses, ribbon ties, and custom labels that read “Enjoy these good night kisses… Thanks for making our Wedding so sweet!” and had the valets hang the bags from the rear view mirrors of guests’ cars when they went to retrieve them at the end of the night.
Posted by: Dawn| July 22, 2008 at 06:06 PM I'm hosting a P.M.S. (Pamper Me Seriously) party for my friend's bachelorette party. It's a spa theme. There will be massages, facials, etc as part of the activities. My party favors are large martini glasses filled with individually wrapped chocolate, small bottles of spa lotion, and midol as a colorful (yet useful) vase filler. It's everything a girl needs to get through that time of the month. A midol, chocolate, and a large martini! Such cute ideas - both the nautical baby shower and the P.M.S. party! These might be a fun addition to the PMS party: http://www.plumparty.com/19894/Pms+Peculiar+Mental+State+Cocktail+Napkins+-+Pack+Of+20.html I love the mini gumball machines and just wrote about them on my own blog. They just might be the inspiration for a future bubble-themed party! |

For my friend's nautical baby shower, I created a candy buffet using red, yellow, white and blue candy. I filled apothecary jars and fishbowls with different candies like red and white M&Ms, Swedish fish and gummy worms, and Ring Pops. I even had a little gumball machine. Guests filled small cellophane bags with custom round labels to that said "Sailing off on a new adventure" and the baby's due date. I have pix on my blog www.dawnypoo.blogspot.com
