What do you add to an outfit when you feel like it’s a bit too ho-hum? For me, shoes rotate constantly and bags aren’t usually statement-making. When I feel the need for a little something sparkly, I pull out a long gold necklace, a thin chain interspersed with larger hoops that looks a lot like these; the one on the left ($79.50 at Martin + Osa) is long like mine, though the necklace at right ($149.99 at Kohl’s) approximates the look pretty well, too. What I love about this necklace is that while it goes with everything from prints to solids to plunging necklines, it looks a little different with each outfit. Unlike a statement necklace (though we do love statement necklaces), it adds a little flair without becoming the centerpiece. What’s your favorite accessory? Why do you love it?
Posted by: Rae| February 20, 2009 at 02:28 PM Beautiful necklace! Since I am a shirt and jeans person who likes neutral colors, I choose/buy handbags that have embroidery and gold or that is unique in shape. With that, I feel like I'm ready to go anywhere even with my plain outfit :) i love accessories, it gives you the the feeling of wearing a different new outfit with each accessory you use. |

I have a cuff bracelet that my grandfather made for my grandmother. It's pretty thick yet simple. I love it and it always draws compliments.
