We should all wear sunscreen every day. That much has been established. And it seems that everyone has their own rituals about what sunscreens go where, when. Personally, I won’t splurge on a beach or pool or shopping outside sunscreen, even if it does go on the more-sensitive skin on my face. That, and I’ve found that Banana Boat Sun Wear Faces Oil Free Sunblock ($7.81 at Drugstore.com) works just fine. The SPF 30 is strong enough that I don’t burn, even if I’m outside for a while (though make sure to re-apply if you're in the sun for more than a few hours), and for some reason the thicker formula makes me feel better-protected. So that’s my regimen: Drugstore sunblock for the pool, something lighter and more luxurious for weekdays. What’s yours? Do you have any suggestions for a light daytime sunscreens that won’t break the bank?
Posted by: Chica & Jo| June 13, 2008 at 07:21 AM I use Neutrogena Advanced Solutions Sun Shield Day Lotion (SPF 15) under makeup. It comes in a three-product acne kit, and since I switched to a different cleanser, I'll probably be looking for a new daily sunscreen. I don't want to buy the entire kit, just to get the sunscreen/moisturizer. On those no-makeup days, I like Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry Touch Sunblock. The "dry touch" doesn't leave you with a shiny, greasy face. Neutrogena has a new product called Color Boosting Sunblock that I'm eager to try soon. |

Aveeno Skin Brightening Daily Moisturizer, SPF 15 or 30. My skin is naturally oily but this does not break me out or add extra oil. I am also prone to burning and have not had any problems when I use this for normal sun exposure.
