Mascara's almost uncanny ability to brighten up a face in a minute flat can inspire some pretty intense devotion to the ones that work best. With hot and humid right around the corner, we're more inclined than usual to keep makeup light and easy, so finding one looks great without much else becomes even more critical. To get the most mileage out of a minimal makeup routine, one key is making sure your mascara offers the best boost for your unique lashes. Below are three that we like best – which mascaras do you reach for time and again? Let us know in the comments section. Lengthening: YSL Everlong Mascara ($27.50 at Neiman Marcus) Darkening: Neutrogena Clean Lash Tint ($7.99 at Drugstore.com) Volumizing: Sephora Lash Plumper ($16 at Sephora)
Posted by: Jessie| May 12, 2008 at 05:34 PM I I have yet to find a mascara that lasts all day without smudging, even waterproof ones, so I tend to wear it only occasionally and usually at night. When I do whip out a wand, I use Lancome and L'Oreal, both made by the same company. I'll have to try your recommendation: Neutrogena Clean Lash Tint. That seems promising. I, too, have lashes that are already long enough. So, I like Almay One Coat Nourishing Mascara in the water-resistant formula. I like it because it nourishes my lashes and I am notorious for not always taking my mascara off every night. It has never damaged my eyelashes like some other mascaras have. I've worn it for several years and have been very pleased with it. you should try MK waterproof mascara(25% off and free shipping!) @ http://whatagirlwants.brothersstudios.com/blog/?p=44 I am having the hardest time finding a mascara that looks natural yet enhances my lashes because I have red hair and fair skin. Any suggestions? |

Since I have long lashes already, I go for volumizing mascaras and my favorite one is Rimmel London's Lash Maxx. The brush is a comb that lets you get even the smallest corner lashes and it doesn't clump nor flake off, and it washes off easily and cleanly (ie no little bits and pieces of black stuck on your face afterward).
