I thought this was a really sweet idea from Southern Weddings if you’re hosting a morning or “breakfast event.” Pass out yogurt to your guests in miniature weck jars with fruit and yogurt to go. photo: Jose Villa
Since I moved to Paris I noticed that about every third restaurant I got to serves food on a slate board. Whether it is being used as a cheese plate or breakfast, slate boards are all the rage. I picked up a few and am surprised how often I use them. Sometimes you just want a small serving platter for […]
Last week I made a giant sequin wall for a New Years Eve party. This would be great as a photobooth backdrop or even just decoration. It does take some time to assemble but the whole thing can be made without too much money. The only problem is I like it so much I find myself never wanting to take […]
A few years ago I started making “Party Resolutions.” It is a pretty basic process but I take 30 minutes to look at a calendar with some of the big parties I intended to throw for the whole year. I list out the significant events like birthdays and holidays and then made a list of the parties I want […]
The Confetti System has been around for a few years now but they still are producing inspiring installations. I loved these Christmas ornaments they made from last year. They are so modern and fun. See their blog for their latest work and loads of inspiration.

Really really beautiful. It would be so fun to to tape the walls of a room and create an installation for a birthday party.

It’s so fun because you get to visit a few different homes and go on a little adventure together. I think these work so well for Holiday parties because […]
When you are entertaining usually what to do with your garbage is an afterthought. In reality there aren’t a lot of good solutions. Your normal garbage cans probably can’t handle all your party guests which means you’ll be emptying garbage in the middle of the party. Your other option is a garbage sack sitting limp in the corner–not the best […]
Because I like to throw parties I find myself buying Christmas lights year round. I thought it might be a little fun to talk about the lights that work well for other times of the year besides Christmas. A. Battery Operated Lights. These are AMAZING for outdoor dinner parties when the weather is warmer. With batteries you aren’t tied to […]
