As the assistant fashion editor at Real Simple, Elinor writes and does market work for the magazine. She's also responsible for the product featured in RealSimple.com's Fashion Daily Finds every Thursday. Every aspect of her job allows her to fully embrace her longtime love for all things fashion-related. (She vividly remembers carefully choosing which of her many hair bows matched her outfit best at age four.)

Born and raised in Tennessee and a graduate of the University of Georgia, Elinor left her Southern roots five years ago to pursue her lifelong dream of becoming an editor. A resident of downtown Manhattan, she loves to scour the area for the best clothing shops - and the best restaurants. (Food is her second passion.) Though she loves New York and all it has to offer, she remains true to her heritage - meaning the way to her heart will always be a bowl of shrimp and grits (enjoyed while wearing a very cute outfit, of course).

I quickly realized that she had made a valid point. As a runner, my feet are often callused and blistered, and I’m sure that other athletes and non-athletes alike suffer from similar issues. […]

Suit Yourself

As the weather finally heats up in NYC, I couldn’t imagine a better way to further introduce myself to the Real Simple blogosphere than with a post about swimsuits. (I love warm weather and am a true devotee to anything and everything related to it.) This summer, I’ve become totally enamored with Spanx’s swim line. Yes, in case you hadn’t already heard, […]
