What I Like: Home Tours On Blogs

I love a good home tour. I remember as a little girl asking my mom if we could take a night walk so we could see inside of people’s homes as we went along. I know, funny to admit that publicly but I swear I wasn’t a little stalker or peeping Tom, I just loved seeing how people decorated their homes and I was only 8! It’s funny how…

Well Hello Crate & Barrel

Crate & Barrel has a great selection of things for the home currently, including these gorgeous chairs — have you noticed? I’m drooling over the mid century inspired white leather chair with that sleek chrome base because it would look great in my living room. I equally love the cobalt blue trimmed chair shown below, it’s traditional yet very modern with that amazing lacquered frame. Whoever designed that honey of a chair was clearly very clever, it’s such a hottie.

My Top 5 Songs For Cleaning House

I took a walk this morning to the local farmers’ market and was so pleased to see daffodils, tulips and signs of spring all around me there. The weather is still cold (high 40s) but the sky is bright blue, the sun is shining and the air is refreshingly crisp. It put me in the mood for spring and to organize and clean my house. Then I started to think about when I would schedule for spring cleaning…

Max Wanger is a brilliant photographer who has an online portfolio that will make your heart do a happy dance, especially if you’re a romantic at heart. I love browsing his work because it is so joyful and bright plus the light feels so warm and welcoming in his photos. Maybe it’s because I’m freezing where I live, but I’m drawn in to the warm glow of sunshine and outdoor shots so much right now!

Artist Belinda Kemp + Feeling Creative

I’ve been a fan of Australian mixed media artist Belinda Kemp, also known as Gretchen Mist, for quite awhile now and enjoy watching her develop her style and expand in new areas. I like the current colors she is working with — deep blues, pale mint, sea glass green… her palette really soothes me and her paintings look gorgeous in so many different decors – from a contemporary tract home to an old farmhouse in Vermont..

Ameliart: Original Paintings For Your Kids

I was approached recently by a painter who lives in Poland, Ireneusz Jastrzębski, who goes by Amelia and is so talented that I knew I had to share her work with all of you today. Amelia hopes to get her original works of art before a larger audience outside of her home country and after seeing what she does, I don’t think she’ll have a problem promoting her charming work.
