A Clever New Use for Contact Lens Cases

If you’ve ever worn contacts, you very likely have a spare (or two… or five) contact lens cases. Not sure what to do with them? We’ve long been fans of using a clean set as a travel spice holder (see above).

A new genius idea: On Instagram, reader @monstersg suggested using the cases as a travel-friendly moisturizer and sunblock holder for a short trip:

What do you do with your spares?

That is totally cool. I must show this to mom. We have LOTS of them hanging around here begging to be used. Thanks! XOXO – Bacon

I use them for small pill cases, especially when I am just traveling for a night and need just a few pills.

I have stored a couple of pair of earrings in them to travel with, or just to have a spare in my purse for those days when I get to work and realize I forgot to wear earrings. I also use them to clean my earrings – just put some ear care antiseptic in with the earrings and shake well.

Depending on the size of them, because we all know some are larger than others, I keep nail polish remover, lipstick, eyeshadow, vaseline, polysporin, eye makeup remover, just to name a few. Pack them with the kids, for outings with friends. They lose the little case, not a big deal
