A Natural Way to Clean Garden Tools

gloves-bag_300Now’s the time to begin prepping for gardening weather. To clean your rusty tools naturally, try black tea.

That’s right: Black tea is strong enough to help scour dirty trowels, shears, and the like. Simply brew a few pots and allow time to cool. Next, pour the tea into a bucket and soak the tools for a few hours. Then, while wearing rubber gloves (to prevent staining your skin), wipe each tool down with a cloth. You’ll be good to garden in no time—weather permitting, of course.

It’s amazing all the cleaning you can do with tea. Even old tea leaves can absorb odors like baking soda.
