bookshelves-1_300Looking for a new book? See what your neighbors are reading with this fun map, brought to you by the e-book start-up Scribd and The Washington Post. Scribd tracked the reading habits of their 80 million monthly readers in all 50 states to find which books are most popular, relatively speaking. (Note: These aren’t the absolute most popular books of state; these are the most popular books by state as compared to the other 49 states.)

New York, the home of the Real Simple offices, is enjoying a chuckle from Sarah Silverman’s memoir, The Bedwetter: Stories of Courage, Redemption and Pee. Maryland is enjoyingJess Walter’s Beautiful Ruins, a recent No-Obligation Book Club selection. Want more? Click here for the full state-by-state list.
