Eat These Foods to Beat Dry Skin

According to Meghan O’Brien, a dermatologist in New York City, research suggests that eating these foods and taking a flaxseed-oil supplement may improve skin-barrier function, which can actually make skin more resilient to dryness.

    I rarely use body lotion and have normal to dry skin. I eat many of the foods you listed, but I think the main reason I have great skin that looks much younger than my age, is a very simple practice. After showering and before I dry off, I rub about a dime size amount of almond oil or coconut oil on my damp skin. It moisturizers my skin without all the unpronounceable ingredients in nearly all commercial lotions. It also locks in the moisture that my skin wicked up during bathing.
