A Trick for Keeping Bobby Pins in Place

February 6, 2014 | By | Comments (1)

trend-bobby-pins_300Do bobby pins and barrettes tend to slip and slide in your hair? Whether your hair is thick or thin, try this technique from Mark Townsend, a Los Angeles–based celebrity stylist with Dove Haircare.

Spray your little helpers with dry shampoo right before using them. The product will give your pin or clip a slightly tacky—but not sticky—feel, so it won’t slide out.

Another solution: Anchor bobby pins by crisscrossing them over each other in your hair.
