Super Bowl XLVIII is this Sunday, February 2—and it’s the first time the big game will be played in the New York metropolitan area.

If you’re not a fan of the Denver Broncos or the Seattle Seahawks, maybe these fun facts from Mashable will pique your interest. Our favorite tidbit? The crazy prices attached to the game. A Days Inn hotel in North Bergen, New Jersey, less than five miles from MetLife Stadium, usually charges $125 a night for a basic room… but for Super Bowl, the same set-up costs a whopping $1,300!
