A Quick Tip for Finding Inexpensive Glasses

January 28, 2014 | By | Comments (3)

eye-glasses_300If you don’t want to pay top dollar for pricey pairs of designer glasses, look to the web: Online retailers like Zenni Optical, Coastal.com, and Warby Parker (which does have a few brick and mortar stores) cut out the middleman of licensing companies and optical shops, which can lead to hundred of dollars in savings for consumers.

You’ll need to visit your eye doctor for a prescription, and from there, you can order your glasses directly online. Prefer to try on before you buy? Some companies will actually ship you frames free of cost to test at home, while others have online tools to test your face in the specs.

I’ve shopped with Zenni before and was pleased. Thanks for the other recommendations!

I have purchased from Zenni. Unfortunately, the glasses I ordered are tough to adjust because of the type of frame. I loved them. Still wear the sunglasses I ordered and have had no trouble with them stretching out.

You have to add Rivet & Sway to your list! They just came out with a new collection that is fabulous – and Rx sunglasses too! YAHOO!
