10 Habits of a Highly Organized Person from Apartment Therapy

trilogy-shelves_300As someone who hates clutter but isn’t a naturally “neat” person, getting more organized is always on my to-do list. About once a year, I’ll do a massive overhaul of my entire apartment and throw out all the things I don’t need or haven’t used in over a year.

However, despite my best attempts, a few months go by, and I’m back living in a clutter-filled (read: stressful) world yet again. I just can’t seem to keep myself from hanging on to movie ticket stubs or little trinkets from various people and places I’ve been.

So, I wondered: How do people keep their homes immaculate and organized all year? Enter professional organizer Jeni Aron of Apartment Therapy. She put together a list of ten habits she follows to keep her life under control year-round. From letting go to making your bed, this list covers both things you can do and attitudes to keep.
