The Best Time to Visit the Doctor

Nobody likes going to the doctor, but there are certain appointments that simply —and shouldn’t—be avoided. To ease the pain, book your appointment strategically to minimize in-office wait time.

According to appointment data from ZocDoc, you’re likely to experience the longest amount of time in the waiting room on Thursdays. If you want to get in and out (who doesn’t?), schedule your appointment for a Monday—the day you’re likely to spend the least amount of time waiting to see the doc.

Need an appointment quickly? Weekdays at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. are the most popular time slots, so book outside of those times if you want to snag an opening.

See medical exams you should never miss.
