If you received season’s greetings from someone you forgot to put on your list, don’t fret. Plenty of people never get around to sending out holiday cards (isn’t there enough to do?!). Instead of avoiding the subject—or that person—send “Happy New Year” cards to those people you forgot about but who didn’t forget you this weekend. Presto—your greeting is early instead of late!

This is a miss. It does NOT fool anyone.

I think it’s the thought that counts. . . . As the adage goes: better late than never.

Right, so just send a holiday card and be done with it. It is weird to wish someone only a happy new year (unless you don’t they don’t celebrate Christmas)

I think it’s a great idea. I think it’s even better to take the opportunity to update receivers on the passing year’s events. Nothing wrong with being one of the few people to start of their new year with an uplifting message of promise and hope in a card!
