tea-strainer_300If you didn’t have time to whip up a batch of homemade holiday cookies, use this tip, courtesy of the experts at PAM baking, to add a sprinkle of cheer to store-bought or semi-homemade treats.

Trace holiday cookie cutters (smaller ones work best for brownies and cookies, while larger cookie cutters can add flair to cakes and pies) onto pieces of paper or parchment, cut out the shapes, and arrange on top of baked goods. Next, scoop confectioner’s sugar or cocoa into a fine mesh sieve and gently dust over the top of baked goods. Carefully remove the paper to reveal festive shapes.
