I’ll have to admit… I’ve never actually hosted Thanksgiving and cooked the entire meal myself. Last year, I provided the space, but my mother and mother-in-law brought most of the food. Lucky for me, this year I am getting off easy again and assigned only a few sides.
The pot-luck tradition has been great but part of me is interested in the challenge of tackling Thanksgiving myself. In my head, it seems like hosting Thanksgiving (particularly the daunting task of cooking the bird) is a right of passage that I have yet to face. One of these days…
