To get off on the right foot with your nearby passengers, Mauria Finley, CEO Citrus Lane, recommends befriending would-be Scrooges before takeoff (and temper tantrums): “I once showed up with a box of candy canes for a Christmas Day flight, and they kept both the kids and the adults happy!” Forgot to pack a sweet treat? “I also love to have my kids draw pictures for my seat-mates,” says Finley. “Who can resist children’s artwork?” Humbug, be gone!
