Yes, this may seem like an easy thing to do leading up to a big feast, but when leftovers start thinning out and the fridge gets sparse, be sure to at least store a few big jugs of water in there. Refrigerators need “thermal mass” to maintain low temperatures, and cool foods and drinks help absorb the warm air that comes in when you open the doors—which means a better shelf life for your appliance.

    GREAT IDEAS ~ also put some water bottles ( 3/4 full ) in the freezer to save there too, OR bags of ice cubes which just might come in handy for that punch or glasses. THANKS for your tips.
