Avoid This Common Beauty Ingredient

parabens_300Not all that glitters is gold, and not all that smells good is good for you. The next time you’re shopping for beauty items, check the label and be sure you don’t see the term “fragrance” listed as a standalone ingredient.

Says Dr. Mitchell Chasin, a New Jersey-based cosmetic physician and skincare expert, “Skin care companies get away with the unspecific ‘fragrance’ term because they are not required to list all of the ingredients in the fragrance. Synthetic fragrances often contain toxins linked to cancers, and can result in hormone disruption.” To keep yourself safe, opt for products that are labeled “fragrance free.”

Interesting. I feel like that vague “fragrance” ingredient is in everything.

Ah! very nice, so next time beware to shop any beauty product, before judging is it really beautiful or not.
