Home décor can be intimidating, but it doesn’t have to be hard. If you fall in love with a piece, follow this simple advice to ensuring that your artwork is getting the most out of its display.

Nick Olsen, a New York City-based interior decorator, suggests right off the bat to lower your wall hangings: “People tend to hang [art] too high; it should be at eye level.” Self-conscious about cluttered versus sparse walls? Olsen assures DIYers not to worry and that, “it’s better to cluster art in one or two spots than to spread it out.”
