13 Pets Who Love Real Simple

October 4, 2013 | By | Comments (6)

The black cat on our October issue of Real Simple turned out to be quite the conversation piece: Many fans kindly wrote in telling us how much they loved the cover; People.com did a whole story on the behind-the-scenes shoot of little Tajari; a few readers were sure that our editors manipulated the image to give the Bombay kitty such a cute nose (which is completely false—she’s a natural beauty); and even just a snapshot of the cover was the all-time most-liked picture on our Instagram.

Best of all, lots of you took to social media to post pictures of your pets admiring the magazine… and the results were too cute not to share.

(Full disclosure: These two are my cats!)

And don’t forget the dogs:

(Technically this is our September issue, but who could turn down this sweet pup?)

Lost my sweet Bombay, Sheba, just a little over a year ago. Tajari’s picture on the cover brought such a smile to my face. Not that many people are aware of the Bombay as a black cat breed. Our Bombay was a beauty also and a joy to have as a pet – I miss her dearly!

I love that you put a black cat on the cover! So many black cats and dogs are not adopted because people have a skewed negative view on them. Yay to you and all of the animals that are hopefully adopted into forever homes! Thank you, Real Simple!
