3 Ways To Wear Florals For Fall

September 27, 2013 | By | Comments (0)

Pretty, feminine, flowery prints are a no-brainer for spring, but they transition just as beautifully into autumn. To keep from looking like you’ve accidentally mixed up your months, try these three simple tips:

1. Florals in a color palette that echos autumn leaves look on-point with the season. Think burgundies, deep oranges, and muted yellows (with some jewel tones thrown in for good measure).

2. Two high-contrast tones—like white and navy—create floral prints that feel fresh, modern, and not at all summery.

3. If you don’t feel like completely restocking your closet, recast a springtime floral dress by pairing it with dark accessories and black tights for a contrast that’s both cool and cool-weather appropriate.
