Keep Lipstick Marks Off Your Drinking Glass

lipstick-paper-napkin-ictcrop_300It happens all the time: The lipstick which you’ve worked hard to apply just right (careful blotting included!) coats your drinking glass or coffee mug the moment you take a sip, leaving your lips for good. Fortunately, there are ways to prevent the annoying marks.

Of course, a standard plastic straw is the age-old remedy, but if you’re in a pinch and much prefer drinking straight from the source (after all, you can save your straws for preventing knots and extending plants), here’s a funny trick to try: Simply—and discreetly, of course—lick your glass before you drink. Lip color won’t stick to a wet rim.

sure is a lot better than drinking wine through a straw like a 2 year old.
