I don’t think success is the result of failure. Many, many people have done there homework, hard work and did not succeed no matter how they tried. I would not call that failure. There are countless incidents when success has been achieved from being at the right place at the right time. Sorry, Colin Powell, I think you’re off base here.

He said “LEARNING” from failure, not that success was a result of failure. And by the way, it’s THEIR homework.

I believe success is how you define it. My definition might not be the same (probably isn’t) as anyone else’s is. My success came along with good relationships, hard work and determination. This is much like the people I admire. Gratitude and concern for others is very important. However, sometimes I fell on my yellow brick road. Thankfully I enjoy many people who encouraged, loved and believed. Failure and success are both relative to what YOU think and how you perceive the situation. I know people who celebrate being dependent upon others and take great satisfaction in blaming—-others, circumstances , and the whatever which meets their needs at the moment.
